The DGT (David Grissom Trem) guitar is the outcome of over two decades of partnership between Paul Reed Smith and David Grissom. Built on the McCarty platform, the DGT features a distinct neck shape, taller frets, unique pickups, and an updated control layout. Grissom and Paul meticulously compared and tested over forty pickup sets for an entire year until they achieved the desired vintage sound of the DGT humbuckers. By incorporating separate volume controls for each pickup and a master tone control with a push/pull function for coil taps, the DGT pickups offer versatility and precision in tone.
