This special 60th Anniversary edition pays tribute to the legendary 1960 Les Paul Standard, a guitar that has had a profound impact on music in various genres for a span of six decades. With utmost dedication and meticulous examination of vintage examples, the skilled craftsmen at Gibson Custom Shop have faithfully reproduced the essence of owning a priceless original. They have closely studied the three distinct variations of the 1960 model. The initial batch (V1) closely resembled the specifications of the 1959 models, while the second batch (V2) featured thinner neck profiles, different knobs, and more vibrant colors. The final batch (V3) boasted even slimmer neck profiles. This guitar is a V2 version. This historic limited production includes all three versions, offering inspiration to musicians in different ways. The package comes complete with a 60th Anniversary switch plate, a commemorative Certificate of Authenticity booklet, and a vintage replica hardshell case.
