The Prelude student mouthpieces are designed with a single facing that is used by the majority of professionals in the U.S.A. Designed to give the young student a mouthpiece from the beginning that will help them form good playing habits with regard to tone quality, pitch, and proper embouchure development.

The Prelude student alto saxophone mouthpiece utilizes the same facing as the industry standard Selmer S80 C*. What sets it apart is that the Prelude has a hand crafted facing!
