The Gibson Custom Shop '59 Les Paul Standard is a painstakingly authentic copy of one of the most prized guitars of all time. 1959 was the apex year for Gibson's mid-century solid body electric guitars, and no '59 is more famous than the sunburst Les Paul Standard. Although it was initially a commercial flop, it was subsequently embraced by some of the world's best guitarists, including Jimmy Page, Duane Allman, Mike Bloomfield, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, and Billy Gibbons, to mention a few. The rarity and celebrity linkage has pushed the value of authentic examples into the stratosphere.

This Gibson Custom True Historic guitar is far from a "copy." Thousands of hours of research went into this Les Paul Standard—even the chemical composition of the parts was analyzed and re-engineered.
