Uses: Hooking springs on Woodwinds, pulling out water key corks on brass.
The most common reason to use this tool is for what it was designed to do: hook springs on woodwinds. Most woodwind players have heard the metallic "twing" of a spring popping out. This tool is designed to push that spring back into the cradle, with no more jamming your fingers in trying to push it back into position. Other than its intended use, we love to use this to remove water key corks. It's a pretty handy tool for any director to keep with their spare pens and pencils for that student in need.
